All schools whose applications for Enterprising Science are successful will be invited to attend a regional Talk Science teacher course.
Talk Science is a CPD opportunity for secondary Science teachers from the Science Museum. The aim is to share innovative tools and techniques to engage and inspire discussion around contemporary science in the classroom.
The Talk Science courses are delivered regionally across the UK. The day allows teachers to actively explore how to construct and run engaging discussions in the classroom. The course draws on the Science Museum’s expertise in developing contemporary science exhibitions and managing dialogue and debate.
What happens on the Talk Science teacher training day?
The Talk Science course is a fun but practical day that will provide ideas and resources to construct and run successful discussions in the classroom.
Topics covered include: How Science Works, event formats, powerful questions, planning discussion lessons and facilitation skills. All resources, lunch and refreshments are included.
